Tips & Tricks on getting more out of your restaurant website

Display Social Proof

Social Proof is something we’ve been watching for a while and feel it’s becoming crucial to restaurant websites (we’ve even written about it previously).

Many review sites (Yelp, Qype, etc.) have API’s you can connect into, allowing you to show your ratings the same way Amazon shows product ratings. Ratings & reviews (especially in larger numbers) provide excellent credibility for your establishment, not to mention an advantage over competitors that are not being as open and transparent about their reputation.

Find out on which review site you are most popular, and Connect to their API and display your ratings in a prominent location (and also make sure it degrades well to mobile displays). Our clients have had a lot of success with this.
